Information We Collect
When you install or use Smart Variant Table, we may process information needed to run the app, including:
- Shop information such as your myshopify.com domain, installation status, and app plan status.
- Store owner and staff/contact information made available by Shopify for app installation, support, account identification, and compliance purposes, such as name, email address, phone number, and business address.
- Shopify access tokens required to authenticate the app with your store and Shopify APIs.
- App configuration such as table title, button text, visibility settings, colors, quantity controls, table layout, and native Shopify control preferences.
- Product rule and preset configuration, when available on your plan, such as product-specific table rules, quantity limits, hide-sold-out behavior, filters, and custom columns.
- Technical information such as request logs, error messages, and webhook events used for security, debugging, and app reliability.
- Support information you send to us, including your name, email address, store URL, screenshots, and message details.
Smart Variant Table uses Shopify product and variant data only as needed to display and configure the variant table experience on your store.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to install the app, authenticate your store, load and save app settings, render the storefront variant table, manage plan access, provide support, troubleshoot issues, secure the service, and comply with Shopify platform requirements.
We do not sell merchant data. We do not use your store data to advertise unrelated products. Payment information is handled by Shopify through Shopify Billing; Smart Variant Table does not store credit card details.
Shopify Permissions
The app may request Shopify permissions needed for product, variant, theme, app extension, app proxy, billing, and configuration features. Access is used only to provide Smart Variant Table functionality, such as reading product variant information, saving app settings, and placing the table in your Shopify theme.
Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers required to operate the app, such as hosting, database, email/support, and Shopify platform services. These providers are used to deliver the app and support the service. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the security of the app, or to respond to valid legal requests.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain app data while your store has the app installed or while it is needed for support, security, billing records, or legal compliance. When the app is uninstalled, Smart Variant Table receives Shopify uninstall and privacy webhooks and marks the store as uninstalled. Access tokens are removed or disabled so the app can no longer access your store.

Customer Data
Smart Variant Table is designed for product variant display and merchant configuration. It does not need to store shopper payment details. If Shopify sends customer privacy webhooks such as customer data request, customer redact, or shop redact, we process those webhooks according to Shopify requirements.
Security
We use Shopify authentication, webhook HMAC verification, HTTPS, restricted access controls, and operational safeguards to protect app data. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep access limited to what is necessary for app operation and support.
